I am honored to have my prints displayed on the Facebook page of the Arts and Cultural Council of Bucks County. Below is the text accompanying a selection of prints.
“Printmaking, to me, is the ultimate adventure.”
Barbara Zietchick has studied Printmaking at the School of Visual Arts and Manhattan Graphics Studio in Manhattan, Woodstock School of Art, Rutgers University Innovative Printmaking Studio, New Jersey Center for Visual Arts, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Abington Art Center, and Bucks County Community College.
Barbara has received several awards for her printmaking works at the Peddler's Village Art Show, the Pennridge Gallery of the Arts, the Stover Mill Gallery, and at the American Color Print Society.
Barbara's prints are in the permanent collections of the Newark Public Library, the New Jersey Historical Society, Paxton Hill Farm, and print-collectors in the United States and internationally. She is an avid member of several print exchanges and enjoys collecting the prints of favorite printmakers around the world. She is also a member of the American Color Print Society based in Philadelphia.
Barbara’s website gallery features a variety of both abstract and representational works, all of which are reflective of her love of travel, animals, nature, and above all, experimentation. Monoprints, woodcuts, linocuts, collagraphs, etchings, and silkscreen prints round out her printmaking portfolio. Figure paintings, landscapes, and dog and cat portraits also emerge as subjects that inspire her process. Her inventive use of texture, color, overlapping, and pattern encourage you to look deeper at all of her work, and help her “set magic in motion.” Barbara is an artist who continues to learn, discover, and explore. She truly loves her medium and finds joy in every creation.
